Mrs. Anderson

I will admit it's still pretty exciting when I hear someone call me "Mrs. Anderson," it definitely makes me smile everytime. But yesterday I got the ultimate smile from those two words...

I got my new SS card from the govt. I am officially Mrs. Anderson and can start changing all my paperwork to my new name. Yay!

They Arrived!!

Well Brian and I finally got what we've been asking for. Our boxes, furniture and wedding gifts...although we knew our stuff would "fit" in our new apartment, it was only after the boxes took up our entire living room that we realized we had A LOT of STUFF. But we were happy to have a table, couch and overall we were very happy to have it all. I guess really it just gives me something to do throughout the weekdays. Here are some nice photos of what our apartment now looks like. (But I'm committed to it not staying this way...otherwise I'll become claustrophobic) Oh and don't forget how empty our apartment was from the previous posting.

AHH It was pretty crazy there the first few hours that the house looked like this. Luckily, we've been working on the pile and it's coming along pretty well. Our couch is at least unwrapped and placed correctly on it's 3 legs (the movers broke one of it's legs...sticking us with only 3)

That night Brian came home pretty late but I made us some pesto pasta Yumm. So here is a picture of our first dinner (at a table) in our new apartment!

20 Month Anniversary

Brian and I have been together for 20 months today and we feel pretty blessed to have everything that we have! We are about to have been married for 3 weeks and so far we've done a lot. Besides all the military enrollments we've had to squeeze in between lunch breaks of Brian's busy days (mililtary ID, medical, dental etc.) we've also been arranging a move into our new apartment. When I first moved to OK (July 4th) we initially were squished into Brian's bachelor dorm for  a week until our move in day for our off base apartment. On July 11th we became a state recognized roomate couple (haha) that would reside in Indian Oaks Apartments. It was pretty neat to get keys to our first apartment as a married couple. Through out the week I moved our stuff from the dorm to the apt which, by the way, had (still has) no furniture.

Here is our beautiful doormat :)

As you can see there is not too much going on yet. But soon (hopefully VERY soon) the military movers will move our furniture from AZ to OK. Oh and no, we're not sleeping on the floor. Brian has a nice friend that loaned us a bed until ours arrives, there really are good people out there!! :]

Oh and here is a nice photo of Brian and I in our new apartment the night we got our keys (and after we brought all our bags up the stairs...aka the reason for no makeup on my part)

Opening Day

Hello everyone!
Well, this is my first blog and so I am learning at an exponential rate of how to use this thing. Anyways, the reason why I created this blog was to keep people updated on Brian and I's busy life. Since Brian is in the Navy and we will therefore be moving often, I thought this would be a great way for family and friends to keep in touch. I will periodically write updates on what is going on in our lives as well as post pictures. Feel free to contact us anytime for details, our new mailing address or just to say "Hi"
